A Destination piece in 'Westworld' magazine, the popular publication of the Canadian Auto Association. The feature first appeared in the Saskatchewan edition as it was thought to be of particular interest to the large number of readers there with Ukrainian ancestry. One sidebar explores this immigration theme in detail, while another provides practical details about visiting the country.

A Historical piece written for the glossy South African lifestyle magazine 'Odyssey'. While not purely a 'travel article', this piece brings together many of the findings from Jason's explorations in the region to uncover ancient stories and beliefs about dolphins and whales.

A Journey piece for the 'Distant Shores' in-flight magazine that wanted a diary-type article on far-flung destinations. Jason's experiences of living in the Canadian Arctic lent themselves well to the format of this article - one of his earliest travel pieces to be published. As this was for a non-specialist audience unlikely to ever visit this part of the world, a trip-planner sidebar was not required.

A Special Interest piece on a five-month journey around the Pacific that Jason made in the mid-90s in search of dolphins. The piece, which first appeared in the 'Distant Shores' in-flight magazine, contains elements of a Roundup - helped by sub-headings on each of the countries visited. It has some of the makings of a Personal Experience Essay that later helped spawn lengthier articles in more specialist publications.

Over the years, many different pieces - both by and about Jason - have appeared in print and online. From small scale publications such as News From Iceland (1988), Mensa Magazine (1989) and The Wolfson College Record (1999) to Flying Colours In-Flight magazine (2000) and Iron Poetry Anthology (1996). In addition, this year sees the publication of Jason's first full-length book 'Deep Voices' (Trafford Publishing, 2010) - a travelogue that explores the myths and sacred beliefs about dolphins and whales held by the many different cultures he has encountered on six continents over the last decade. For a recent nationally-syndicated piece about Jason and his work with dolphins and whales, see this article.See also Jason's consulting website for information about his motivational workshops and seminars on critical topics in today's workplace: anger management, stress reduction, emotional intelligence and team-building.
